William Douglas Smith, Iii

On Tuesday, January 11, 2022, William (Will) Douglas Smith III loving husband, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, and friend, passed away at the age of 37. Will was born on March 12, 1984, in Florence, SC to William II and Mary Smith. He married the love of his life Amanda Larae Davis on February 23, 2013, on the beach in Jacksonville, FL, and together they were devoted to their two fur babies Ollie and Finn. Will had a huge passion for the water and everything that went with that: boating, jet skiing, fishing, and shrimping. Will loved hanging with his friends and family and wanted to make sure everyone was having a good time. He was a huge movie buff and big Harry Potter fan. He was kind and always had a bright infectious smile and had a life-long love affair with plain potato chips with ketchup. Loved ones that will miss him are his wife Amanda, his parents William II and Mary Smith, his two older sisters and brother-in-laws Sherre & Chris Conway (Annapolis, MD), Shannon Smith and Tom Cooper (Braselton, GA), his uncle’s and spouses Mark and Suzanne Smith (Painesville, OH), John and Jeanne King (Tilton, IL), his aunt and her spouse Pamela and Jim Moreman (Danville, IL), his maternal grandmother Betty King (Danville, IL), his nephews Evan, and John and his niece Raygan, his two closest friends Dennis Rimer and Colton Johnson, and his beloved pets Ollie and Finn.
