William Andrew McGraw, 70, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away August 25, 2021 at Baptist Medical Center South. Mr. McGraw was born to Andrew and Lucille McGraw on November 11, 1950 in Kingston, PA. He graduated from Cheektowaga Central H.S., and served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He married Joyce F. Zwolinski of Buffalo, NY. He was retired and formerly worked as a laser printer supervisor at Harte Hanks Inc. Bill was very knowledgeable in history and also current events. He was active in the community. He was a member of the VFW in Tampa, and in later years a member of the American Legion in Jacksonville. He also volunteered at local election headquarters. Spending time with his family and friends, barbecue grilling, and watching sports were some of his favorite past-times. He enjoyed nature and being outdoors. He will be remembered as a strong-willed man with a huge heart.
William is preceded in death by both of his parents Andrew McGraw and Lucille McGraw-Cosgrove. He is survived by his wife, Joyce McGraw of Jacksonville, children and their spouses Michelle Potsic (David), Michael McGraw (Donna), grandchildren Benjamin and Hannah Potsic, and sisters Nell Dakin (Bruce) and Andrea Perritte (Richard), and several nephews, a niece, and their families.
A memorial service is planned for 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Celebration Church, located at 9555-1 R G Skinner Pkwy, Jacksonville, FL 32256. Pastor Jeff McDuffie will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to any organization helping our brave Troops and/or Veterans.
