William Donald Hestley

William Donald Hestley “Don”, age 69 of Atlanta, GA passed on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in Orange Park, FL from his very long battel with MS, Dementia and Alzheimer’s.  Don was the son of William Riley Hestley and Lois Mildred Howell born on December 2, 1948.

Don went to Southwest Dekalb High School of Decatur, GA and work for a little while at Atlanta, GA correctional.  Don moved to Florida in 1966 and married Coline P. Bruce in 1971.  They had one daughter Jennifer in 1972.  Don and Coline Devoiced in 1977.  Don worked for a Chevrolet Dealership in Clearwater, FL and went to Pinellas Vocational Tech of Clearwater, FL where he earned his certification for A/C Tech.  He last worked at Southern Lock & Supply Co. of Pinellas Park, FL when he was denoised with Multiple Sclerosis.

Don loved playing music on his guitar and writing songs.  Don could name almost any song from only hearing a few tunes and then tell you when, where and who was part of the band/song.  Don loved watching and routing for The Atlanta Braves. Don loved sharing Hersey milk chocolate candy bars with his daughter Jennifer.  Don gave great big hugs.  And liked his long hair which Jennifer would braid or put in a pony tail for him.  He also liked to make people laugh.

Don is survived by his Devoted daughter Jennifer L.H. Scarberry, son in law Charles and Don’s Grandchildren Dalton W.H. Scarberry and Izabella Rosa McCollum, Grandson in-law Kinloch and their daughter Kelsee (Don’s Great Granddaughter), Don’s Ex-wife Coline P.B. Hestley.

Don also is survived by his loving sister Patricia Childress, brother in-law Ken and niece Kimberly, nephew Tim and Tim’s wife Kerry and their 3 children Makenzie, Copper, Grant and Don’s Aunt Betty Squarsone.
