Walter Lockard Reed

Walter Lockard Reed, 82, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 3, 2022.  He was born in Greenville, Mississippi.  He grew up in Jackson, Tennessee and graduated from Union University.  In 1970, he relocated to Jacksonville and spent many years as a broker in commercial real estate.  He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Peggy; his sisters Alisa and Anna Elliott; his children Walt, Jr. & his wife Karen, Sean, Mary, & Brian Reed; and grandsons Aubrey & Cecil Reed. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Friday, September 23 at San Juan del Rio Catholic Church.  1718 State Road 13 Saint John’s, Florida 32259.  Luncheon to follow.
