Walter "Fuzzy" Craven

January 7, 1954 — September 2, 2023

Walter (Fuzzy) Craven of Jacksonville, Florida left this earth on Saturday September 2nd, following a lengthy illness. Fuzzy was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville residing on Craven Road for all of his 69 years. He was born to Clarence Edgar Craven and Virginia Eloise Price on January 7, 1954. He attended Wolfson High School, class of 1972.

In his early years he dabbled in horticulture prior to his career in the construction industry. His true passion was commercial fishing for blue crab. Fuzzy had a big heart and a gentle soul that he used to spread laughter and kindness to all he met (but most of all...BS).  He had a passion for music and loved to "cut a rug". He loved being out on the water and considered it the one place he found true peace and everything was right with the world.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Eadie Craven and his brothers WJ Craven, Calvin Craven and his wife Judy. He is survived by the love of his life, Laura, who he was married to for 47 years. He is also survived by his brother Clifford (Barbara), sister-in-law, Margie Craven and many nieces, nephews and extended family including Laura's sisters, Jan and Julie who he fondly referred to as "his girls",  and John T., devoted friend till the end.
