Vincent "Vince" Paul Hood

June 3, 1960 – April 10, 2021

Vince P. Hood, 60, resident of Jacksonville, FL joined his loved ones in Heaven on April 10, 2021 at Community Hospice Care, in peace and comfort with his loving wife Vanessa by his side. Born to Oscar and Agnes Hood in St. Charles County, MO.

Vince graduated Trade School in Automotive Engineering, St. Louis, MO. Served as Deacon and led youth group in Cordova, TN. After employment as plant Employee Relations Manager for Leaf Confections in Memphis, TN, Vince’s desire to become a entrepreneur led him to a deep passion for Automotive Paintless Dent Repair for which he was well known and respected.

In his spare time throughout his years Vince has enjoyed building fast cars, being a member of Praise and Worship groups, leading youth groups, collecting and playing his guitars, singing, sailing, wake boarding, riding his Harley-Davidson, grilling, being outdoors and collecting sea glass on Florida beaches with his wife.

Vince lit up a room and will be missed by many for his great smile, sense of humor, devout friendship, positive spirit and personality, incredible and impressive memory, selflessness and willingness to help others with his time, talents and prayer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar F. Hood and Agnes A. Hood and brother Joseph Oscar Hood.

A loving husband to Vanessa Zoll-Hood, stepfather to Nathan (Sara) Shaughnessy, Angela (Matt) Williams and grandfather to Alex, Izabelle, Ethan, Landon and Elijah. He is survived by siblings Patricia (late Edgar) Jamison, Ruth (Gary) Szevery, James (late Margaret) Hood, Donald (Yvonne) Hood, Ann (Tim) Mohan and Charles (Lisa) Hood. Blessed with a large family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces, and a great nephew and niece.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
