V. Carroll Clements

V. Carroll Clements, 97 years old, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024,  Carroll was born to Arthur and Claudia Clements on December 3, 1926 in Lakeland, Florida. He graduated from Kissimmee High School in Florida.

He served in the Army during WWII.  He worked for the railroad for 33 years.  His passion was playing the guitar which he played by ear and was self-taught.  He played at home, for his church, at various local venues and on-stage as he traveled with cousin, Vassar Clements.

He will be remembered for his good sense of humor, beautiful smile and the kindness he showed to all he met. Preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, his daughter, Jann Garner, and sons, Gary  and Donnie.  He is survived by his son, David (Victoria) and daughter, Joni. He also leaves 5 grandchildren: Brandy Davis, Kelly Jones, Kyle Clements, Blayre Garner, and Garrett Maloney, 13 great grandchildren, and  6 great, great grandchildren.

His cremated remains will be interned at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
