Tresa Khaylon May

May 28, 1969 — August 9, 2022

Tresa Khaylon May, 53, was born in the summer of ‘69, May 28th, to Marvin Lee Wilson and Betty Louise Auten in Muncie, IN. She left for God’s Kingdom in the summer of ‘22, August 9th. Khaylon was a free soul, a gentle spirit, and a loving, kind, and beautiful person inside and out. After moving to Florida and meeting Kenneth May, they married and in June of ‘96 she gave birth to her only daughter, her miracle baby Karina May. After their divorce, she took her love for fashion and managed a petite women’s work apparel store for many years before meeting Jerry Horner, the love of her life, and was introduced to the world of trucking where they began a business together, J&K Transportation. Together they went on cruises, scuba dived, and saw the world. After their separation, Khaylon stayed in trucking and worked at many trucking companies as a dispatcher, helping to bring food and other products to store shelves all over America. Khaylon never knew a stranger, as she treated all people like they were her equal upon meeting them which helped build many life-long friendships. As her daughter grew and began school, Khaylon was able to help raise two of Karina’s closest friends, who Khaylon loved wholeheartedly as her own daughters- Samantha Alderman and Courtney Studebaker. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gary Wilson. Surviving is her daughter Karina May (Matthew Smith), her sisters Deborah Sanchez (Jose) and Lisa Wilson (David), her brother Ricky Lee Wilson, several nephews and nieces, Jerry Horner and his sons, and ex-husband Ken May and his family.
There were no services per her wishes and she was laid to rest August 18, 2022. May her soul find the peace of God’s kingdom where she can rest for eternity.
