Thomas Edward O'Dwyer

Thomas Edward O’Dwyer (“Tom”), 66, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022.  He was born to Harry and Edith (Widner) O’Dwyer on August 17, 1956 in Jacksonville, Florida. Tom was the “baby” brother of 4 children. As a lifelong resident of Jacksonville,  Tom attended Assumption Catholic School, Landon Jr High and Englewood High School.

Tom enjoyed fishing (fresh & salt water), golf, all of his Grandson’s sporting events, football (Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars), NASCAR, YouTube, Google Maps, and listening to live music. He also played the guitar and loved The Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Marshall Tucker Band, Rolling Stones and plenty of others. He was a Project Manager/Estimator for Dav-Lin Interiors Construction but loved the days he spent in the field as a Superintendent.

He is survived by his beautiful wife of 40 years June O’Dwyer; son Jeffrey (Samantha) O’Dwyer; sisters Patti O’Dwyer, Sharon O’Dwyer, Margaret (Joe) Robinson; Grandsons Mason O’Dwyer and Ethan Goblet; Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Edith O’Dwyer.

Tom was affectionately known to many as “The Legend” and “Buddy”.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Mandarin Community Club on November 13 at 4:00. Please RSVP by 11/5 to Samantha at (904)349-0052 so we can make sure there is enough food for everyone.

In lieu of flowers, please go fishing and text pictures of your catches to Tom’s phone. We all know Tom would do it to us.
