Thomas Roy Burdette IV, 58, Atlantic Beach, Florida passed away on December 6, 2022.

Born to Thomas and Virginia Burdette on September 4, 1964 in Salisbury, North Caroline, the family moved to Atlantic Beach when Tom was in middle school and he attended Mayport Middle and Fletcher High School.  He earned the highest level of achievement as a football player at Fletcher High School being selected to the All-City team and was highly recruited by many colleges.  Tom played college football at Southeastern Oklahoma and graduated from the University of North Florida. He was married to the love of his life for 32 years and was a devoted father to his beloved daughter, Daria.  Tom was an avid swimmer, cyclists, and loyal member of the 5am LA Fitness workout group.  He will be remembered for always smiling and talking to everyone he met like they were his best friend.  Tom had a successful career as a financial planner with Raymond James helping his clients achieve their fullest potential and surpass their financial goals.  Tom is survived by his wife Amy, his daughter Daria, his in-laws Stephen and Mary Sedgwick, sisters Berkeley Hill (Ben) and Virginia Downs, nieces Anneliese Gainey, Jessie Downs, Kayla Downs, and nephew Benjamin Hill.  A Celebration of Life will be held at the Adele Grage center on Thursday, December 15 from 3 to 5pm.
