Terry Louis Williams, 74, passed away on April 3, 2019 at St. Vincent’s South Community Hospice of Jacksonville, FL.
Terry was born to Blanche Williams on July 17, 1944 in Louisville, KY. He graduated in 1962 from Flaget High School in Louisville, KY, graduated from Indiana University with a BS Degree, and Johns Hopkins University with a Masters Degree in Information Systems. He retired from CSX in 1999 to pursue his great passion of golfing three days a week. He also coached the boys’ basketball teams at St. Francis of Assisi Grade School in Louisville, KY and Holy Spirit Catholic Church/School for several years. He was a grade school, high school and college basketball Referee and was highly sought after by colleges and high schools in Louisville, KY and Jacksonville, FL.
He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, love of family and friends, and devotion to his loving wife, Betsy, of 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Betsy, devoted daughter Kim Williams Zagraiek (John), favorite grandchildren Savannah and Jack, sister-in-law, Tylene (“Cissie”) Brady and niece, Aimee Brady and many dear friends and family in Jacksonville and Louisville, KY.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 11:00 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11665 Fort Caroline Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32225 with Father Amar Nagothu, MFSF as Celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Community Hospice of Jacksonville in Terry’s name.
