Tana Rozanne Balhoff, 76, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away April 2, 2024. She was born to Daphne Louise and Stafford Mack Brown in Wilmington, NC on April 18, 1947.
Tana loved being a mother, a grandmother even moreso, and a devoted cat mom to Tiger, Kit and Trixie. After retiring from Walgreens, she spent her days enjoying being out in the sun (almost always in her favorite chair in her front yard or in Daytona with her dear friend Jean), watching Carolina Panthers and Buffalo Bills' football, General Hospital, and Tiger Woods playing golf. She'll be remembered for her sass, her pride in her Cherokee Heritage, her big talk from her recliner and poolside at her grandson Andre's swim meets, her beautiful salt and pepper hair, and her horrible poker face.
Tana is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children Traci Akers (Bill Lampe), Gary Balhoff, Rodney Balhoff, Tana Leonard & Dylan Novak, her sisters Susan Knight, Donna Riddell (John) & Karen Hulcher (Rick), her grandchildren Andre, Justin, Colin, James, Nicholas, Gemma & Landon, and many nieces & nephews.
A celebration of her life with family and friends will be held later this year in Wilmington, NC.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society in Tana’s memory.
