Stewart W. Allen 63 passed away after a brief courageous battle with glioblastoma brain cancer.
He was born in Savannah Georgia to Joann Conley and Herbert Allen, who proceeded him in death along with his brothers Butch Allen & Ricky Allen, his beloved mother-in-law Carrie Belle Vituschi who loved her Stewie Dewie, and his wild and crazy best friend Doug McArthur.
Stewart grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Robert E Lee High School in 1979. He attended Minot St College ND on a multi-sport scholarship! He excelled in shot put, discus, javelin, soccer, football and baseball!
Stewart met the love of his life Patti Vituschi, and they married March 17th 1984 and celebrated 40 years of marriage this year; as they called it ST.ew Patti Day!
They had two amazing sons together, Wesley Allen (Caryn) and Doug Allen, who are their pride and joy! They gave him two precious granddaughters, Olivia Quinn & Luna Grace and their mom Michelle Allen.
Stewart was a simple man and was always positive, kind and supportive! He loved to travel, and he loved his Seminoles and Jaguars but most of all he loved spending time with his family and fishing and just being near the water!
He was a workaholic and gave his all to his job. He was a beloved employee of Citizens Property Insurance and was an outstanding Facility Manager and Licensed Journeyman HVAC by trade!
He leaves behind his immediate family and brother-in-law Jimmy Vituschi, father-in-law Jim Vituschi (Sylvia), numerous nieces, nephews, friends and his beloved beagle Tucker!
In lieu of flowers, Stewart’s wish was for you to donate to MD Anderson Cancer Center , American Cancer Society , Jacksonville Humane Society (or better yet adopt a pet), and plant a tree or your favorite flower in his honor!
He will be forever loved and missed so much! A celebration of his life will be held at a later date to honor him!
“It’s not goodbye, we’ll see you later!”
