Stephen Mark Gross

Stephen Mark Gross (“Steve”), Son, Nephew, Uncle and Cousin, passed away on September 10, 2021 at the age of 54 in Jacksonville, Florida.  Steve was born in New York in Huntington Hospital on June 16, 1967.  Steve was preceded in death by his father Jeffrey Joseph Gross and grandparents Godfrey and Marie Gross and Edward and Joan Daly.  He is survived by his Mother Susan Daly Gross, Sister Jennifer Petter (Brian) and his Brother Jeffrey Michael Gross, his Aunts Joan Zitzmann (John), Loretta Gross, Evelyn Dull (Edward), Ginny Lesky, Judy Hallisey (John) and Uncle Ted Daly (Gina).  He is also survived by 1 niece and 3 nephews and 20 cousins.

Steve was a United States Navy Veteran and trained on the USS Saratoga , had two tours overseas as Navy Personnelman and received Merit Promotion by the Commanding Officer of  the Saratoga.  After returning home he attended Tidewater Community College in Chesapeake, Virginia and relocated to Jacksonville, Florida where he co-owned and operated Atlantic Moving and Storage providing professional moving, packing and storage services which covered the entire East Coast.  He later worked as Management with hands on experience in the bar and restaurant business where was responsible for bar inventory and where he worked as Bartender and Manager.   He really enjoyed all people and all phases of house renovating, reading, swimming, fishing and auto detailing.  He impacted the lives of so many and will truly be missed.

There will be a family Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
