Stanley “Skip” Albert Spann Jr., 65, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Friday February 19, 2021 with family by his side.
Stanley was born on October 31, 1955 in Jacksonville, Florida to Stanley and Bettie Spann. Stanley graduated from Terry Parker High School in 1973. He spent most of his life on a construction site as he was a devoted brick layer On July 2, 1988, he married Joyce Wright. They raised their only daughter, Ashley.
Stanley was a simple man and enjoyed the little things in life. He loved to work in the yard, watch the Florida Gators, listen to rock and roll music on Friday nights. He enjoyed playing darts with his wife and spending time with his grand kids.
Stanley is preceded in death by his father, Stanley and mother, Bettie as well as many family members. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; daughter, Ashley; son-in-law, William; grandchildren, Haley (10) and Watson (5); brothers, David and Billy; sister, Tina and countless cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on March 4, 2021. It will be located at Chet’s Creek Church - 4420 Hodges Blvd at 11:00am. The service will be performed by Lead Pastor- Spike Hogan. A small reception will be held at Ashley and William’s house following the service.
