Sharon Kay Rivera

October 30, 1957 — March 20, 2021

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Kay Rivera, our loving Mother, on March 20 th 2021 at the young age of 63.  Sharon was born to Joseph and Jeanne Brenwald on October 30 th 1957 in Greensville, PA.  She had three siblings, Ruth Mundhenk, David Brenwald, and Barbara Davis.

Sharon was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.  If asked she would say, she became a mother too early in life and had to grow up while raising her four lovely daughters affectionately known as STAR ( S harron, T onya, A mber and R achel).  She always said we could be a Super STAR or RATS.  Sharon’s proudest accomplishments were in the successes of her STAR.  Her goal was to raise independent, strong, loving women. “I Love You Sweetie”, warm hugs, butterfly and forehead kisses were her special touches that will be truly and deeply missed.

Sharon was one of the strongest women one could ever meet. Her tough demeanor was complemented by her huge heart and soul.  Sharon enjoyed being outdoors, but her favorite past time was spending time with her family.  She loved to be in her garden and enjoyed canning the fruits of her labor.  Sharon had the honor to pass these valuable life skills along to her girls and their children.  She adored boating and scouring the beach for seashells and shark teeth. She was also an avid deer hunter that enjoyed treating her unsuspecting children and guest to “Bambi”.  She loved dancing late into the night to the rhythm of her favorite Southern Rock music.  Sharon loved writing poems and love letters as a form of self-expression.  She was prepped for the zombie apocalypse but not her own passing.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father, mother and sister Ruth.  She was survived by her girls: Sharron and Husband Ralph Green; Tonya and husband Brandon Warner; Amber and husband Eddie “Tito” Renta; Rachel Craigo and her significant other Mike. & Her grandchildren Felicia, Shelby, Cameron, Logan, Shannon, Kristian, Justin, Ethan, Addison, Eddie, Kimberly, Alex, Ian and Gavin & Her great grandchildren Hunter, Trip, Alice, Audrey, Weston, Willow, Blaine, Ava, Kaelys and Liam.

Memorial services will be held at Dunns Creek Baptist Church 686 US 17 San Mateo, FL 32187.  March 27 th , 2021 at 3pm followed by food and fellowship.  Flowers are welcomed but in lieu of flowers please plant a fruit tree, flowers or a vegetable garden in her honor.
