Sarah Ann Barnes

Sarah Ann Barnes, 85, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on February 16, 2024. She was born to Richard Patrick and Mary Monica Lombard on November 6, 1938 in New York City, NY.

Sarah graduated from Holy Name Catholic School. She will be remembered as a loving and beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had a razor-sharp wit and was always quick to love. She enjoyed her garden and her plants, reading mysteries and thrillers on her Kindle, watching a good movie, but disliked a "to be continued," and she completed endless word puzzles.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Hannah "Joanie," Mary Monica "Bunny," Richard "Dick," & Christine "Chrissie," the love of her life and husband of 25 years Irving Lee Barnes, and adored grandson Jacob DePetris.

She is survived by her "diamonds" - children Donna, Louis, Mary, James, John & Christopher, grandchildren Louis, Jack, Nicholas, Lorenzo, James, Chelsea, Candace, John & Joakima, and great-grandchildren Tyler, Hannah, Blakely, Jax, Taylor, Ethan, King, Prince, and Majes'Dee.
