Sandra Mae Huber Thalleen

Sandra Mae Huber Thalleen, 87, passed away on January 10th, 2025, at home peacefully.

Sandra was born in Wisconsin and moved to Florida in the early 40s, finally residing in the Mirmar neighborhood of Jacksonville, FL where she met the love of her life Richard Thalleen, who lived on the corner. After a visit with her ‘49 Buick road master convertible in their college years, they were engaged 6 months later. In June of 1956 they were married.

Living in Jacksonville and Daytona Beach then back to Jacksonville in their 63 years of marriage, she raised four children; two daughters Sandra (Garland) of Spencer, WI and Kristina Thalleen of Baton Rouge, LA, then two sons Michael Thalleen of Clovis, NM and Marc Thalleen of Jacksonville, FL. She was a grandmother of 12, a great-grandmother of 16, and a great-great-grandmother of 3.

Her love of cooking and travel resonated though all her family as well as her love of her Church All Saints Episcopal.

Her celebration of life service will be at All Saints Church at 11am on the 9th of April. There will be a reception at the parish hall afterwards.
