Sandra Lee McLean Keeler of Neptune Beach, FL, passed away surrounded by her loving family on January 26, 2024.
Sandy was born in Chicago, IL, to Daniel and Eileen McLean in 1941. She married Larry Keeler in 1960.
She loved being a Navy wife, living in Charleston, Clarksville, San Diego, the Azores, and Memphis before moving to Neptune Beach in 1976. She was a member of Beach Church and attended Ocean Park Baptist Church for several years.
Sandy was active over the years in many activities, including Fletcher HS band parents, square dancing, and playing Bunco. She worked at K-mart, volunteered at the Beaches’ Mission House, Gator Clowns, and Meals-on Wheels, enjoyed yard-sales, thrift shopping, eating out, and spending time with her family.
Sandy is survived by her three children, Deborah Keeler (fiancé Philip Wells), Douglas Keeler, and Karen (husband Andrew Tice); four grandchildren, Victoria Mason Luvisi (husband Daniel Luvisi), Carly Keeler, Connor Mason, and Ian Keeler; two step-grandchildren, Allison Tice Raposo (husband Helder Raposo) and Devion Tice; two great-grandchildren, Aurora Willett and Alyssa Vazquez; and three step great-grandchildren, Conner, Matthew, and Bradley Raposo; sister Daureen McLean Gruber (husband Michael Gruber), brothers Gary McLean (wife Carol) and Robert McLean, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many who loved her.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Eileen McLean; husband, Larry Keeler; brother, Donald McLean; and granddaughter, Jessica Streeter.
A celebration of life will be held at Beach Church in Jacksonville Beach at 4:30 PM on Saturday, February 3, 2024.
