Salvatore Saverio Leo, 95, passed away Monday morning, February 14, 2022 in Saint Augustine, Florida. Sal was born October 9, 1926 to Guilio and Antonina (Pedone) Leo in Newark, New Jersey, one of five children.
After graduating High School, he served in WWII; Sergeant 1 st Medical Battalion. Following his discharge, Sal earned a college degree in Engineering. He married and started a family in New Jersey moving to Connecticut where he continued his career as a respected engineering sales manager. He followed with 20+ years of retirement in Florida.
Sal was honored as a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball and football and had his own special technique making him a trophy winning bowler amongst the local crowd. He loved spending time with his family and friends, always eager to have fun. He had a great sense of humor, laughing at his own “Dad” jokes and willing to entertain given the opportunity.
Sal is survived by his wife Harriet of 63 years, son Jules of New York, New York, son Joseph and his wife Linda of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren Adam and Nicole Leo, and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nadine Leo in 2018. Sal was a loving father, husband, grandfather, uncle, and friend.

Memorial services for Salvatore Leo will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 11, 2022, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 89 St Mary's Pl, Bunnell, FL 32110. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Clyde E. Lassen State VA Nursing Home.
