After raising seven children, Ruth settled in Jacksonville,FL. She worked many years at Famous Amos Restaurant.
She loved to bake and made great pies and cookies we all enjoyed. She crocheted, making several afghans for family. She enjoyed other crafts such as sewing and embroidery.
She had a love of theater, especially musicals. We attended many plays together, including Cabaret, Annie, and The Sound of Music. The last one we saw, at her favorite dinner theater, was Grumpy Old Men. She loved going to the Greek Festival!
More recently, she had the time of her life at the senior center, where she made gift baskets for people’s birthdays. She shared friendships there, having lunch, playing card games, and of course, Bingo!
We will have a memorial celebration of life at a future date.
