Ruth H. Eggert

Ruth H. Eggert, 87, of Jacksonville Florida, formerly of Lawrenceville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 19, 2023, in Jacksonville, surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born to Edward and Ada Hedden, on March 25, 1935. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, Sr., her son, Mark, grandson, Joseph Romeo, and great-grandson, Rhys Jinks. Surviving Ruth are her daughters, Debra Nord of New Egypt, New Jersey, Lynn (Andrew) Pelton of Jacksonville, Florida, Virginia “Ginny” (Ronald) Buchanan of Lawrenceville, New Jersey, son William (Andrea) Eggert Jr. of Lawrenceville, New Jersey, thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Ruth graduated from Hamilton High School and Mercer County Vocational School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse in both Lawrenceville, NJ, and Sebring, Fl. Ruth was an avid baseball fan, rooting for the Phillies and the Marlins. Her favorite pastimes included knitting, attending her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s sporting events, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Ruth will be revered by her family as the best wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother anyone could’ve asked for. Ruth had an unmatched level of spunk and courage and she will be dearly missed.
