Ruth C. Carter

Ruth Carter, 87 born in Wellesley Massachusetts on August 20 ^th , 1935, went to be with the Lord on January 27 ^th , 2023 at home with her loving family around her.

Ruth was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.  She was loving, kind and smart but when asked, would give you her honest opinion with no hesitation.  She was a talented artist and loved her family dearly.

Ruth was pre-deceased by her three husbands, Barron Rice, C.J. Googins and Bob Carter.  Her Father, Ralph L. Collari, her mother, Alice M. Collari (Balboni), brothers Ralph Collari, Frederick Collari, David Collari, James Collari and a sister, Joyce Leach (Collari).  She is survived by her sisters Sally Bourgault, Marilyn Willey (Les) and her children, Laura Gaye Bennett (Steve), Carron Tooke (Russ), Barron B. Rice II (Mary Jo) a stepson, Michael Googins and her long-time companion Roger Maynard.  She had ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Historic Catholic Church 4124 Loretto Road Jacksonville Florida 32223 on Friday, February 10 ^th , at 2:00 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Hospice of Jacksonville.
