Ronald Lewis Peters, 78, surrounded by family, passed away peacefully in his home Sunday, January 28, 2018 in Jacksonville, Fl. Ron was born to George Edward Peters and Evelyn Mae Lewis Peters on January 17, 1940 in Lynn, Massachusetts. He served honorably in the Air Force and graduated from the University of Massachusetts. He had a long career in the corporate world and authored 7 books. He was very active in his community and supported many new authors. He enjoyed many hobbies including reading, computers, ham radio, and fixing things. Although an unassuming man, his amazing sense of humor was recognized, honored, and enjoyed by all that were privileged to know him. Ron is survived by his wife, Sharon Peters, of 51 years; his children, Julie Robinson and Chad Peters; his grandchildren, Katherine, Aaron, and William; his mother-in-law, Harriet; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, food, or other gifts, the family requests that you donate in Ron’s name to either the Harvard Brain Tissue Resource Center (800-272-4622 / www.brainbank.mclean.org ) or the Alzheimer’s Association (800-272-3900 / www.alz.org ).
