Robert "Bobby" O. Johnson

It is with profound sadness that we announce that Robert O. (Bobby) Johnson passed away peacefully on July 13, 2020.  He was born to Roy and Bertha Johnson on May 15, 1942.  Bobby lived his entire life in Jacksonville, FL, was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1960. He attended and played football at University of Florida and graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Accounting but remained a lifelong Gator.  He worked for many years for the Wolfson Family and then went on to open Johnson & Company, CPAs in 1974. His son, Rob carries on the family business now.  He was an active member of Church of Our Savior and then Christ Episcopal Church in his later years. Bobby and wife Patsy loved to travel and were fortunate to travel to all seven continents and sailed every ocean and most of the seas.  Bobby will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and loyal friend.  He is survived by his wife, Patsy Johnson, children Susan (Mark) Messer, Beth Vincent, and Rob (Ashley) Johnson, and his brother Larry Johnson.  He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren: Katie, Chris, Georgia, Emily, Meg, Myles, Land, and Libby. Due to current circumstances, no public memorial service will be held at this time.
