Reece Darren Zosche was born in Denville, New Jersey, on April 10, 2002. He was born into a loving home with two big brothers, Alec and Ryan, who adored him.
Reece began running in the recreational cross country and track programs for Mendham, New Jersey, at the age of five. He continued running for this recreational program until he was 15.
He also speedskated with his father and two brothers for many years. Every Monday night they'd pile into the Suburban, put on Johnny Cash and drive to the ice rink in Morristown, New Jersey. On Saturdays, it was the long drive to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, to skate.
Reece had an outgoing personality and could find fun 'in an empty parking lot'. Reece made friends wherever he went. He loved being around people and everyone loved him.
Reece was a member of the youth group at Mendham Hills Community Church. He played the drums in the youth group band. He went to the LIFE Conference in Orlando, Florida, and came home with a passion for Jesus.
He was homeschooled along with his brothers until 10th grade when he decided he wanted to attend Mendham High School. He participated in cross country, winter track and spring track there. He graduated in July, 2020.
He then went on to attend Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. He was studying mechanical engineering and had an interest in cars and aero. Reece had a bright future ahead of him.
While at Embry Riddle, he once again made a group of close-knit friends.
Reece was a free spirit and had a passion for adventure.
To remind himself of to whom he belonged, he tatooed a cross onto his right thigh. When his parents learned that he'd gotten a tatoo, they were immediately upset. When they found out what the tatoo was and the reason behind it, they admired the new addition to his earthly body.
While the news of Reece's departure from this earth is devastating, we know that he is with our Heavenly Father. That is our hope and our only hope. We know that we will join him in Heaven again one day. We know that he brought such personality to Heaven. He is laughing and making jokes with his Pop Pop. He has met his mother's mother for the first time. He has joined so many other deceased family members. While the pain is insurmountable, we wait in anticipation to see him again one day.
Reece is survived by his parents and two big brothers Alec and Ryan. Reece is also survived by many cousins and aunts and uncles that he adored.
His life on earth was cut way too short. His parents wanted to see him marry and produce children of his own. But we know where he is. If someone were to ask Reece right now if he wanted to go back to his earthly home, he would say 'no' because that's how incredible Heaven is.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 28th at Destiny Worship Center in Panama City Beach, Florida. There will be visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. The service will begin at 11:00 AM.
The family asks that you continue to lift them up in prayer as this is what sustains them at this time.
