Phillip Mark Tysor, 57, passed away peacefully at Baptist Hospital in Jacksonville, FL on February 17, 2021. Mark was born in Winston Salem, NC on January 16, 1964 to Bowman Worth Tysor and Wilma Jean (Vanhoy). He lived in Kernersville, NC most of his life and had recently relocated to Jacksonville, FL with his wife, Gwendolyn “Wendi” and 3 beloved fur babies.
Mark Graduated from Gospel Light Christian School. He was employed by the City of Jacksonville in the maintenance department. Before moving to Florida he was an employee of the City of Winston Salem, NC.
Mark enjoyed travelling, fishing and gardening. He took pride in his lawn and keeping a clean vehicle. Mark loved his fur babies Roxy, Bossco and Jerry Lee. Those who had the privilege to know Mark knew that he was a hard-working fun loving man who enjoyed his pranks and loved making people laugh. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone he could.
He is survived by his spouse, Gwendolyn “Wendi”; father, Bowman “Bo” and mother, Wilma Jean. Mark was looking forward to finding his new forever home and enjoying all that Florida had to offer him. Mark is sorely missed and will remain forever in our hearts
