Paul Ashton Kirkham

January 20, 1949 — January 8, 2024

Paul Ashton Kirkham, age 74, peacefully passed away at Mayo Clinic on January 8, 2024.

He was born on January 20, 1949 in Atlanta Georgia, who spent most of his living years in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a loving and devoted husband of 35 years, a father of five, and grandfather of five. He graduated from UNF with a masters in secondary education. He retired honorably as a Chief in the United States Navy, serving as an aviation electronics technician. He then worked in assisting children to have successful futures as a guidance counselor until retiring from the Clay County School system. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hiking, camping, snacking and drinking Diet Coke.
Most importantly he enjoyed making memories with his wife, children and grandchildren.


He was a family man who is survived by his loving wife, Greta, his five children- Paul Jr, Michael (his wife Ashton), Christeen, Phillip Ryan (his wife Amanda) and Renee. He also leaves behind a legacy of five grandchildren. John Michael (22), Jayden Michelle (16), Eldon (9), Emory (5) and Josie (3).


A small family gathering to honor and celebrate his life was held at Alpine Groves Park in St Johns county.


A memorial service will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery on February 2nd at 10:30am. All are invited.
