Patricia Ann Mcguire

Patricia Ann McGuire (nee O’Brien), 76, of Jacksonville, FL, formerly of New York, NY passed away peacefully on September 20, 2018.

Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband Kenneth H. McGuire; sons Leo H. and Michael K; and her parents Leo and Alice O’Brien. She is survived by her loving family; Robert S. McGuire and his wife Amy and her grandson Jack; brother Thomas H. O’Brien and sister-in- law Carmen; cousin Martha Duggan who was like a sister to Patricia; brother-in-law John McGuire and his wife Rita; sister-in-laws Laurie McGuire and Marlene Pfeiffer; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends from New York and Florida who loved her dearly.

Patricia worked in the legal field as legal secretary for over 40 years in both New York and Florida.

Patricia was a parishioner of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jacksonville, FL for over 20 years. She was an active member of Christ Renews His Parish (CHRP) and volunteered in the church’s gift shop.

Patricia found joy and solace in being a part of Grief Share and participating in the Red Hat Society.

She will be remembered most for her strong Catholic faith and her generous and loving heart. Patricia never met a stranger and made all of those she met feel like family. And of all the titles she held in life, becoming a grandmother to Jack in 2017 was her most cherished.

There will be a funeral mass held on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 at 10am at the chapel in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. (GPS address: 160 Bradhurst Avenue; Valhalla, NY 10595). If attending, please meet in main office prior to mass.
