Loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and wife – Pam (Nanny) Kemp – peacefully left us on 11/29/18. She was met in heaven by her sweet parents, Fronia and Reppard Jordan. Pam is survived by her spouse of 55 years, Jack Kemp, sons John, Michael, and Paul; grandchildren Holden, Chandler, Alysa, Garrett, Trey, Noah, and Ashlynn, as well as, her brother Stan Jordan. She also leaves behind 3 loving daughters-in-law and multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A native and lifetime resident of Jacksonville, Pam graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1961. She devoted herself wholly to her family, being instrumental in the Terry Parker Football Booster Club and a devoted band parent throughout most of the 1980’s. Pam found great joy in her faith, friends, music, playing the piano and attending anything that involved her grandchildren, to whom she will always be their beloved “Nanny.” To know Pam was to know laughter, as she used her gifted sense of humor to brighten the darkest days. Most importantly, if you were ever in a jam, she was the one you would call for help – Pam always rooted for the underdog.
A Celebration of Pam’s life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 15th, at Parkwood Baptist Church, 7900 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville, Florida 32211.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in memory of Pamela Jordan Kemp to Community Hospice – Earl B. Hadlow Center either online at www.communityhospice.com or by check to:
