Norma Jean Tutton

May 11, 1935 — August 7, 2024

One beautiful soul returned to heaven as Norma Jean Tutton, age 89, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2024 following a short illness.  She was surrounded by her family and friends in her home in Keystone Heights, Florida. She will be missed tremendously, but we thank God for the time He gifted us to spend with her and love her! Everyone she met could not help but love her from the start. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother.

Norma Jean was born in Tampa Fl on May 11, 1935. She grew up in Tampa and moved to Keystone Heights Fl in 1973, where she lived until her passing.  She married her soulmate, Everett Tutton, on June 22, 1987.  She spent most of her working life as an apartment complex manager. She also worked at Bellsouth, and alongside her husband at Clark Meat Company.  She and Everett attended the Gadara Baptist Church. She was also a member of the AmVets Post 86 Ladies Auxiliary.

She was a very happy, laid-back lady but was known to be feisty should the occasion arise! She loved her flower gardens, her family and friends, Hallmark Christmas movies, and Jesus! At times she could be found in the casino, trying her luck! (But mostly, just enjoying that time away with her loving husband and friends)

Norma Jean was preceded in death by her father, Preston Leslie Kirkland. Her mother, Lucile McRae Kirkland. And her brother, Franklin Don Kirkland.

She is survived by her husband, Everett Andrew Tutton, Sr. Her sister, Linda Lou (Bill) Roberge.  Her brothers, Leslie Norman (Vicki) Kirkland and Bennie Bruce (Joyce) Kirkland.  Her daughter, Cyndee S. (Andy) Underhill. Her sons, James David (Todd) Edwards, Richard Preston (Nancy) Edwards, Walter Brian Edwards, Paul Stephan (Debbie) Edwards. And stepson, Everett Andrew (Dana) Tutton Jr. She was also the proud grandma of 22 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren! What a full life she lived!

Fly high our beautiful angel. We shall see you again!

“But as God calls us one by one the chain will link again”
