Nathan L Jackson

Nathan L. Jackson, 55, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away September 23 in Jacksonville after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Nathan was born to Harlond Clois and Annette Jackson in Aiken, South Carolina on July 13, 1963.

Nathan graduated from Civic Memorial High School in Bethalto, Illinois in June, 1981. He enlisted in the United States Navy right after graduation and retired in 2001 after 20 years of service to his country. Directly after retiring he started working for Jacksonville Port Authority, completing 17 years of work there. He was married to Karin (Vance) for 34 years.

Nathan enjoyed playing golf, watching college and pro football, NASCAR, road trips, and a good steak and beer.

He will be remembered for being a loving and generous son, husband, father, and papa.

He is survived by his parents Harlond and Annette Jackson; wife Karin; children Rebecca, Amanda (m.Austin Forgrave), and Christopher: grandchildren Aiden, Nolan, Parker, and Brooklyn; aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.

Memorial services have been set for Thursday, September 27 at 2PM. Celebration Church, 616 State Road 13, St. Johns, Florida 32269.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society in memory/honor of Nathan.
