Natalie Riznyk

October 13, 1941 — October 23, 2024

Natalie Riznyk, 83, of Jacksonville Florida, passed away peacefully in her home on October 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Natalie was born on October 13, 1941, to the late Anna and Georg Pasiuk in Rotenburg ob de Tauber, Germany after her family left Ukraine. She immigrated to New York City in 1949 when she was eight years old. At just 15 years old, she met the love of her life, Oleh, at a Ukrainian youth group dance. They were married on August 2, 1959, and celebrated 65 wonderful years together this past August.

Early in their marriage, Natalie worked as a legal secretary to help Oleh earn his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. After raising her three children in various locations across New York State, they settled in Pearl River, where she cherished her screened-in porch and loved hosting family gatherings, especially Thanksgiving.

Once her children were older, she returned to the workforce full-time at Lehn and Fink/Sherwin Williams as an Executive Administrative Assistant in the Research and Development department, where she was beloved by her colleagues for her dedication and kindness.

Natalie enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including reading, dancing, crocheting, and golfing. She and Oleh were active members of Broadacres golf club in Rockland County, NY. They treasured their trips to Cape May, NJ, Venice, FL, and Poland Springs, ME, as well as their annual family vacations, where the entire extended family created cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

In 2016, they moved to Jacksonville to be closer to family as Natalie bravely faced the challenges of Parkinson’s disease and multiple myeloma.

She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her warm hospitality, and her ability to bring people together.

She was preceded in death by her brother, George and her sisters, Helen and Olga.

Natalie is survived by her husband, Oleh; their three children, Elissa Orr (and husband Tim), Deena Klinger (and husband Roland), and Eugene Riznyk (and wife Melissa); four grandchildren, Paulina Klinger, Emily Orr, Lianna Klinger, and Olivia Orr; and her two brothers, Alex Tarasenko and Walter Maline.

The family will hold a private Funeral service to celebrate Natalie’s life.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Parkinson’s foundation in her memory.
