Nancy Ann Baldassare

Nancy Ann Baldassare (Scheer) was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world after a courageous battle with cancer on October 20, 2023 at age 78.

She was born to Frederick and June Scheer on December 17, 1944. She grew up in Broad Channel, New York. After graduating from high school, she married and had two children, Diane and Steven. She worked as a teller for the majority of her life until she retired in the 90’s.

Nancy is survived by her Mother, June, her two children, Diane and Steven, her two grandchildren, Michael and Charles and various nieces and nephews. Nancy loved her children and grandchildren and was the definition of a Nana. She would create snow for the grandkids to play in by taking large bags of packing peanuts and dumping them on the floor of her house. We still find packing peanuts in odd places to this day. Nancy also loved her garden, growing Asian Lilies for her beloved daughter and sharing the love of gardening with her son, Steven. Nancy loved her mystery shows and would spend every weekend watching the Jaguars (win or lose!) with her daughter Diane. She loved fishing and the very last fishing trip she went on, she beat her daughter on the number of fish caught. First time ever!
