Mildred E. Hejda

Mildred (Millie) E. Hejda, 94, Jacksonville, FL passed away peacefully at the Community Hospice (Anne & Donald McGraw Center for Caring) on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, surrounded by family.

Ms. Millie was born to Ralph and Ethel Rue on October 29, 1929, in Englishtown, NJ. She enjoyed playing Mahjong with her dear friends, making beautiful quilts, watching old westerns (the classics) on TV, and going to the movies. She will be remembered for her patience, sense of humor, and how much she enjoyed some Baileys Irish Cream.

Ms. Millie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and younger son. She is survived by her oldest son Bernard Hejda of Jacksonville, FL, grandkids, and great grandkids.

Per her wishes, no memorial services will be held. In lieu of flowers a donation to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
