Micheal Lee Shaw

Micheal Lee Shaw, 47, of Saint Augustine, Florida passed away on March 24, 2020.  He fought an incredibly brave and courageous battle, but unfortunately lost his fight to cancer.  Mike was born to Leroy and Barbara Shaw in Bedford, Indiana on August 7, 1972.   Mike was married to Kathleen (Salgat) and was a loving father to his stepdaughter Nora, 8 and son Michael, 1.  Mike will be remembered by all as being the most kind hearted, loving and funny dad.  His children were truly the lights of his life and he always made that known to everyone.  Mike was an avid car enthusiast who loved all things that move fast.  He worked incredibly hard as a finance director in the automotive industry, but his heart and mind were always with his family.  Mike absolutely loved road trips, Disney, or a good restaurant with his family and friends.  To know Mike was to love him, he never met a stranger.  Time spent with Mike was truly an experience!  Once you became his friend you had a friend for life.  He shared a love of the Chicago Cubs with his father and that legacy will continue to his son.  Mike is preceded in death by his parents and older brother Mark Pridemore.  He is survived and will be deeply missed by his wife and children, sisters Mari (Donnie) Colgan, Melissa (Pat) Chandler, in-laws Charles and Margaret Salgat, nephews Donnie Joe Colgan, Stephan (Rachel) Colgan, niece Britni (Michael) Miller, and great niece Victoria Colgan and nephews Elias and Miles.  Due to the Covid-19 quarantine mandates we will be holding a memorial service for Mike in the future in his hometown of Brandon, FL at a date which will be determined later.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that you please contribute to the GoFundMe created to help the family with expenses. https://www.gofundme.com/f/8t5n2-help-mike-fight-cancer
