Maureen P. (LeBoeuf) Noll, 69 years, born in Worcester, MA, completed her earthly journey and joined her Savior on March 3rd, 2020, following complications from pulmonary disease. Maureen graduated from Marian High School and attended St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing, in Worcester, MA. During these years, she worked as a waitress and later volunteered in St. Vincent’s clinics and medical offices learning many of the regimens which would serve her patients well in later years. She took time off from her early nursing education when she met her future husband, Jack. After Jack’s commissioning as a U.S. Naval Officer in the summer of 1970, they were engaged and were married later that year in Charleston, S.C. She happily took the roles of navy wife, mom and homemaker, sometimes with less than ease, as they changed duty assignments or locations six times in their first five years of married life. During this same time, the couple welcomed three children, John K. (1972), Daniel B. (1973), and Megan J. (1975). In 1979, the family relocated to Newport, RI for their first shore duty assignment.
Maureen began taking on nursing assistant duties at various local health care centers and soon realized she wished to return to nursing studies. She completed her studies and received her nursing degree from the Community College of Rhode Island in 1982. Subsequent family moves were made to Charleston, back to Newport, and finally to Jacksonville, FL, in 1987 where she remained for the past thirty-three years. Maureen worked in most nursing assignments in her career from hospital volunteer to basic caregiver in private settings and hospital clinic work to numerous supervisory roles in her later years as a Director of Nursing in the field of gerontology. One of her cherished assignments was as the founding DON for Fleet Landing’s newly commissioned health care center in Atlantic Beach.
As a Navy wife, Maureen could do it all. Whether hosting a wardroom hail and farewell or a Christmas Eve seafood fest, each event was accomplished with the love, care and concern which marked her joy of giving. She was adored by each person who came to know her, and freely gave her love away to those she came in contact with, in spades. Another thrill was the summer (or more) trips to Walt Disney World with her granddaughter, Lauren. Some twenty years ago, in her spare time, Maureen designed her own stained glass and more recently became the family ancestry expert, tracing relatives back as far as the Battle of Hastings. One of her greatest joys was witnessing her granddaughter’s wedding in Apopka, Florida in 2018.
Maureen is survived by her husband Jack, daughter Megan, sister and caregiver Deirdre LeBoeuf, brother John LeBoeuf (Jan), brother Brian LeBeouf (Ellen), granddaughter Lauren Grant (Ragan), and numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents Roland and Louise (Fitzgerald) LeBeouf and her sons Daniel Brendan and John Kevin. The family is grieving the loss of an incredible soul, but thankful for her life and the many years we had with her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to K-9 for Warriors, 114 Camp K9 Rd, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32081, or Holy Spirit Catholic School scholarship fund, 11665 Fort Caroline Road, Jacksonville, FL 32225. A family graveside service will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218. The family thanks the Baptist Beaches CCU staff for their professional and compassionate care. They are also grateful to Community Hospice staff who graciously coordinated care in Maureen’s final days.
