Marta Valdes Edelen passed away January 8, 2018 in Jacksonville, Florida. Marta was born in Cienfuegos, Cuba to Braulio and MariaCaridad Puentes. Her devotion to her famiy and her Faith were an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives.

She was preceded in death by her husband Orlando Valdes, her son Arturo Valdes, and her son-in-law Eric Tilton. She is survived by her husband William Edelen, her daughters Marta Valdes Hardy and Lourdes McDermott, her son-in-law Bill McDermott, her step-children Karen Lawson, Beth Black, and Bill Edelen Jr; her granddaughters Deedee and Aimee, and her great-granddaughters Marta and Maya.

Services will be held January 20, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church 9800 Baymeadows Road at 1pm . Memorial donations in Marta's memory may be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Condolences may be expressed at Legacy.com .
