Maria Esther Becker

Maria Esther Becker, of 82 years, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida.  She was born in Santiago, Chile to Luis and Mercedes Riveros.  She was the fourth youngest of five siblings, Luis Jr., Gustavo, Sylvia, and Miriam Riveros.

Maria migrated to the USA in February 1973 with husband Ricardo R. Becker and their four children.  Later in 1975 they welcomed their youngest daughter, Camila.  Maria lived in Miami Florida for 33 years, but in 2006 approximately, moved and became a resident of Jacksonville, Florida for over 18 years.  She is survived by her former husband but lifetime companion of 60 years Ricardo R. Becker and her five children, Paulina E. Villon, Ricardo A. Becker, Allan C. Becker, Juan S. Becker, and the youngest Camila N. Becker.

Maria’s loving family included her five children and their respective spouses, Paulina’s husband Miguel Villon, Allan’s wife Tracy Becker and Juan’s wife Leticia Becker.  Her most loved treasures were her eight grandchildren Miguelito, Javier and Sergio Villon, Christian Becker, Aidan Becker, McKenzie Becker, Nicholas, and Sophia Becker. She is also survived by her last two sisters Sylvia and Miriam Riveros who reside in Chile with their beautiful families.

Maria was the epitome of a hard-working, independent, strong-willed woman, a forever worried mother hen to all her children and grandchildren.  She was always willing to help, be involved, give advice, go for adventures no matter how big or small, she had a great sense of humor, was very funny, and sometimes stern but always caring and loving.

She will be deeply missed by us all and all who knew her.  RIP dear mother, we continue to pray for your soul.

María Esther Becker, de 82 años, falleció pacíficamente el 25 de Mayo de 2024 en Jacksonville, Florida. Nació en Santiago, Chile, hija de Luis y Mercedes Riveros. Era la cuarta menor de cinco hermanos, Luis Jr., Gustavo, Sylvia y Miriam Riveros.

María emigró a los Estados Unidos en Febrero de 1973 con su esposo Ricardo R. Becker y sus cuatro hijos. Posteriormente, en 1975, le dieron la bienvenida a su hija menor, Camila. María vivió en Miami Florida durante 33 años, pero en 2006 aproximadamente, se mudó y convirtió en residente de Jacksonville, Florida por más de 18 años. Le sobreviven su exesposo, pero compañero de toda la vida durante 60 años, Ricardo R. Becker, y sus cinco hijos, Paulina E. Villon, Ricardo A. Becker, Allan C. Becker, Juan S. Becker y Camila N. Becker.

La amorosa familia de María incluye a sus cinco hijos y sus respectivos cónyuges, el esposo de Paulina, Miguel A. Villon, la esposa de Allan, Tracy Becker, y la esposa de Juan, Leticia Becker. Sus tesoros más queridos eran sus ocho nietos Miguelito, Javier y Sergio Villon, Christian A. Becker, Aidan Becker, McKenzie Becker, Nicholas y Sophia Becker. También le sobreviven sus dos hermanas, Sylvia y Miriam Riveros, quienes residen en Chile con sus respectivas familias.

María era la personificación de una mujer trabajadora, independiente y de carácter fuerte, una madre siempre preocupada por todos sus hijos y nietos. Ella siempre estaba dispuesta a ayudar, involucrarse, dar consejos, emprender aventuras sin importar cuán grandes o pequeñas fueran, tenía un gran sentido del humor, era muy divertida y, a veces, severa, pero siempre cariñosa.

Todos nosotros y los que la conocían la extrañaremos profundamente.
