On Monday, February 1, 2021, Lynn A. Lindsay, at the age of 81, went home to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born on June 22, 1939 in Linden, New Jersey. He had a passion for anything related to automobiles from drag racing, car shows and cruise-ins to a lifelong career, which included “Lindsay’s Place Auto Repair Shop.” He was active for many years in the Episcopal Cursillo of NE Florida and instrumental in starting a prayer ministry at All Souls Anglican Church. Over the years he served in various capacities at All Souls to include the vestry, intercessory prayer team, and communion server. His first love was his Lord and second was his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, James R. Lindsay and Jeannette Wyckoff Lindsay. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 27 years, Jean Lindsay of Jacksonville, FL; son, Scott Lindsay and grandson, Jesse, of Christmas, FL; son, Ken (Amy) Lindsay and grandchildren, Zack, Kassidy, and Kendall of Apopka, FL; stepson, Sean (Barbara) Yost of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and grandchildren, Gabriel (Emily) Yost, Lydia (Josh) Sasscer, and Josiah Yost and great-granddaughter, Nora Rose Yost; Stepdaughter Heather (Jim) Strickland of NC and grandsons Benjamin, Ethan, and Levi; sister, Jan (Mack) Gooding of Orange Park, FL, as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews.
His Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021, at 1:00pm at Redeemer Church in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.
