August 3, 1963 — August 26, 2018

Linda Marie Dillavou Lucas was born on the 3rd of August, 1963.  After a long illness, Linda passed away on the 26th of August, 2018 in Orange Park, Fl.  Linda did not have to suffer for the years that have passed.  She did this for the love of her mother, father, children, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, and all of her nieces and nephews.  Linda was the strongest, most loving, and caring individual you could meet.   Everyone did not simply see this out of her, they felt it.  If you had the  fortunate pleasure of knowing Linda, feel blessed that God sent an Angel to live among us.  Linda enjoyed helping anyone in need.  Linda treated anyone as a family member.  Even if you weren't in need, she would still offer something to give you or a way to offer you assistance.  Linda has a passion to care for all of God's creatures.  She loved her animals.  Linda would take a sickly animal and nurse it back to health to love and care for as her own.  Linda was the oldest sibling.  This gave her that motherly love and an enormous heart.  She had to have one with the likes of all of those younger brothers and sisters she had to put up with growing up.  Linda loved her children and the rest of the family.  She was a loving daughter, mother, sister and grandmother.  Linda went to school in Pine Island, FL, Fort Myers, FL then graduated in Green Cove Springs, FL at Clay High School.  Our family was encouraged to be strong and independent from an early age.  This lead Linda, as a teenager to begin cosmetology school.  She went on to continue her education in St. Augustine, FL.  There she acquired her CNA degree. Given Linda's love for caring and helping people.  Her heart lead her to study In Jacksonville, Fl.  There she acquired her Certified Nursing Assistant degree.  Linda Still wanting to do more.  She continued toward her true calling.  To become a Certified Registered Nurse.  While still working on her objectives, Linda became ill at a very young age.  However, this never stopped her enormous heart.  Linda Dillavou Lucas remained a loving daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt.  Never bitter, only still wanting to please and help others.  That is our Angel.  Linda is survived by her mother and father, Lydia and Robert Barbour.  Her children, Danny Joe Plank, Jimmy Plank, and Steven Plank.  Her sisters, Lisa May Dillavou, and Juanita Cook Patton.  Her brothers, David Orbe, John Orbe, Mark Orbe and brotherly nephew Joey Dillavou.  Linda is survived by 13 grandchildren,as well as, numerous loving nieces and nephews.  Survived by her step brothers and sisters, Missy Barbour, Linda Barbour, Robert Barbour and Mike Barbour; and ex-spouses Danny Plank and Thomas Lucas.  We all loved and adored Linda Dillavou Lucas.  If you would like to donate to Lydia Barbour to assist in the memorial, please email [email protected] .  Services for Linda Dillavou Lucas will be announced on Facebook in addition to the email just provided.  (FLY HIGH LINDA, FLY HIGH)
