Leslie Althea Maneely, 76, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on December 9, 2024. Born on February 3, 1948, Leslie cherished the beauty of the coast and found solace in the ocean. Her love for travel blossomed through her career as a CMP at Conferon, allowing her to explore the world both professionally and personally.
Leslie was known for her kindness, generosity, and infectious laughter, leaving behind a network of dear friends and soul sisters across the country. Leslie had a special fondness for birds and cats, often spending hours watching the birds at her feeders and providing loving homes to many feline companions.
She is survived by her siblings: Leah Martin Wilson, Roy E. Martin III, James Milton Maneely Jr., and Frances Head Maneely. She is also fondly remembered by her many nephews, niece, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
The family extends their gratitude to the YMCA and the Live Strong cancer support group for their unwavering support during Leslie's battle with cancer.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Williams YMCA and the Best Friends Animal Society.
A celebration of life to honor her will be held at a later date.
