Lance D. Williams, 74, of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away after a brief illness on July 10, 2024.
Born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, he graduated from Great Valley High School, then Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania in 1972. He was a member, then president of the Alpha Chi Ro fraternity in his senior year.
Mr. Williams then pursued a career in Human Resources in numerous pharmaceutical companies all over the country. Over the years he was a member of many professional organizations. He finished his career as senior vice president of Human Resources for Noven Pharmaceutical in Miami, Florida.
Since retiring and moving to St. Augustine, he became a member of the Northern Florida Jaguar club. He has had an antique jaguar for 20 years and always enjoyed trying to keep it running. He has also won several “best in show” awards for the car. He loved traveling and has taken many trips to Europe and spoke fluent French.
He will always be remembered by friends and family for his wonderful, dry sense of humor. He was thoughtful and caring in both his business and personal life and will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his son Brandon of Chicago, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joanne (Hutton) Williams.
