Kathryn Stratton Henderson

Kathryn Stratton Henderson, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 10, 2022. She was the oldest of five children born to George and Aquilla Stratton. Kathryn was a 1958 graduate of Paxon High School. She married the late Jack Henderson in 1960.

Kathryn is survived by three children: Jack Henderson of Milton, Florida; Kelly Bailey (Darren) of Gulf Breeze, Florida; and Kim Taylor (Thomas) of Leesburg, Georgia. She is survived by her five beloved grandchildren: Ashley White (Chase), Jared Downing, Spencer Taylor, Sydney Taylor, Stephen Taylor, and one great-grandson, Landon White. She is also survived by her sister, Patsy Nevin and brother George Stratton, and two sisters-in-law, Ann Stratton and Edith Stratton. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, George and Aquilla Stratton; her husband Jack of 54 years; and two brothers, Ken Stratton and Ronnie Stratton.

Kathryn was an active member of Westside Baptist Church. She had a servant’s heart, and she enjoyed cooking, traveling, and organizing gatherings with her family, friends, Sunday school class, and Paxon classmates. She will be remembered for her deep love and dedication to her children, for being a wonderful sister and a loyal friend.

On Saturday, February 19, 2022, a memorial service will be held at Westside Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida. Visitation will be at 2 p.m. and the service at 3 p.m. with a reception to follow. The family requests donations to Westside Baptist Church in her honor in lieu of flowers.
