Karen Lee Groeschl

Karen Lee Groeschl, 66, of Sheboygan passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023, in Jacksonville, Florida.

Karen was born on September 10, 1956, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to the late Elton and Kathleen Blanke. She graduated from Sheboygan South High School in 1975. Karen was united in marriage to James Groeschl on April 1, 2010, in Crown Point, Indiana.

Karen was a loyal Packer fan. She enjoyed being outdoors. She loved gardening, fishing, walking and biking. Karen enjoyed listening to music and was an avid reader. She built up a vast collection of books throughout her life. She enjoyed traveling and cherished her winters in Jacksonville, Florida. Over the years, one of Karen's precious cats could be found snuggling on her lap.

Karen is survived by her husband, James Groeschl; sisters, Susan (Daniel) Payne, Barbara (Greg) Sheve, twin sister Sharon Bone; brother, Jeffery (Sue) Blanke. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, brothers David and Philip; as well as her three beloved felines; Kiekey, Princess and Charley.

A gathering for immediate friends and family to honor Karen will be held at a future date.
