Justin O'Brian Pace

June 26, 1989 — September 5, 2024

Justin was born in Murray, Kentucky to Jim and Kim Pace. He grew up in Independence, Kentucky, graduating from Simon Kenton High School. He attended Northern Kentucky University before transferring to Murray State University. At Murray State he was an active member of Alpha Sigma Phi: Delta Tau chapter.

After graduating with a bachelor’s in construction management in 2012, he began working for Gerdau Ameristeel. In 2014 Gerdau moved him to Jacksonville, Florida where he met his wife, Ashli. The two of them lived in St. Johns, Florida. Justin was employed by Division 5 Steel, inc. for the past five years as a Project Manager.

Justin loved The Lord and was an active member at Creekside Christian Church. You could often find him tucked away reading his Bible or a devotional. In his free time Justin enjoyed golfing, camping, hiking, exploring national and state parks, volunteering, and binge watching his favorite shows, like Breaking Bad. Justin enjoyed meeting new people, having intentional conversations, and making people laugh. His smile and laugh will be greatly missed.

In 2021 Justin became the chapter advisor for the newly established Alpha Sigma Phi : Kappa Omicron chapter at the University of North Florida. In 2022 he was awarded Fraternity Advisor of the Year at UNF.

Justin is preceded in death by his grandparents: James and Shirley Pace, and cousins Alex Wempe and Casey Lofton. He is succeeded in death by his wife, Ashli Pace, parents, Jim and Kim Pace, grandparents Don and Anne Gunter, sister Kristen Reyes (Bolivar). Justin would have become an uncle later this month to Levi Pace. He also leaves behind Jack, his best friend on four legs.

The family will be planning a celebration of life service to be held in Florida on November 3rd at North Florida Christian Camp at 2:30pm. A service will also be held in his hometown in Kentucky at a later date.
