John Kavin Berry

September 5, 1959 — October 26, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Kavin Berry, a brother, cherished father, grandfather, and friend, who passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024, at the age of 65.

Born on September 5th, 1959, in Florence Alabama, John’s passion for aviation ignited at a young age. John Kavin received his Federal Aviation license for the United States of America on Oct 11, 2002. As a private pilot, he soared through the skies, sharing his love for flying with anyone who would join him. John Kavin believed in the freedom and joy that flight could bring. His stories of adventure captivated all who listened, and his enthusiasm for life was contagious.

In addition to his love for aviation, John was known for his intelligence and love for his children. His laughter was infectious, and his stories were legendary. His laughter and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

John Kavin is survived by his siblings, (Deloris Messina), (Jose Cart a Gena) and (Richard Berry). He is survived by his 5 children, (Hamarkeis Berry), (John Berry), (Stephanie Berry), (Megan Berry) and (Nicole Andrikson). He is survived by his 6 grandchildren, his brother-in-law, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Though he has taken his final flight, John’s spirit will forever soar in our hearts. May he now rest in peace with his mother (Daisy Messina) and his father (John Robert Berry). We love you, Papi, and we will carry your memory with us always.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Liver Foundation in Johns memory.
