Joanne Bruestle Hatcher

Hatcher, Joanne Bruestle passed away December 17, 2018.

She was born in Jacksonville to Charles and Frances Bruestle on February 12, 1930.

She graduated from Landon High School in 1948 then attended Stephens College, MO where she received her Associates in Arts degree.

Joanne began work at Delta Airlines then married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Bill Hatcher in 1952. She was a member of Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church for 66 years.

She dedicated over 42 years to volunteering at Baptist Medical Center where she served in the Women's Auxiliary and made lifetime friends.

Joanne had a life filled with travels which included cruising the Bahama Islands and camping the Blue Ridge Mountains. She enjoyed attending the Wellness Center at BMC and did so until she was physically unable to.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Clark Bruestle and husband, William Hatcher. She is survived by James Hatcher (Julie), Anne Mathews (Harrison) and one grandson, Andrew Mathews as well as dear and countless friends.

On January 4, 2019 at 11 am a service celebrating her life will be held at Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church, Jacksonville FL. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Hendricks Ave. Baptist Church, 4001 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32207
