Joan (Joni) Macaluso Dean

Joan (Joni) Macaluso Dean, 62, Jacksonville, Florida passed away Friday, February 23, 2024 peacefully in her daughter’s home with her family around her.

Joni was born to Anthony Sr. and Joan Macaluso on March 2, 1961 in Yokohama Japan.

She worked for many years as a case manager for Catholic charities.

Joni will always be remembered for her beautiful smile that would light up the room. Her fierce love for her children, her family and God was always her strength. Joni was simply a beautiful soul inside and out. Kind and caring. God’s love and light shine through her, and we were all blessed to have had her in our lives.

Joni was proceeded in death by her parents, Anthony and Joan Macaluso

She is survived by her children, Sherri, April, and Jaimee. Her sisters and brothers, Debby, Tony, Damon and Net. Her many grandchildren, one great grandchild, many nieces and nephews, plus too many family members and friends to mention.

Joni was loved by all who met her and is already dearly missed. She was our shining star and her memory will always live in our hearts.

Joni’s wishes are to be cremated and to have her service at the beach. Memorial service will be held March 25, 2024 from 11 to 3 at Huguenot Memorial Park, pavilion number three.
