On Monday, February 3rd, 2020, Jesse Isaiah Morrow, beloved son, baby brother, devoted father, and loyal friend, passed peacefully with his family by his side from a rare neurodegenerative brain disease, at the age of 33. Jesse was born, on October 30th, 1986, and was raised in the Riverside neighborhood of Jacksonville, FL where he was a loving father to his daughter, Hannah Noel.
If you were around the neighborhood in Jesse’s adolescent years, you would have found him playing soccer and basketball in youth leagues, but mostly skateboarding with his buddies. Jesse made long-lasting bonds airing kick-flips and grinding rails that continued throughout his life- DBS.
He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and developed a successful career in the restaurant industry at both The Brick and Restaurant Orsay in Avondale. He built deep relationships with his co-workers and customers. Being immersed in fine cuisine, Jesse developed a passion for cooking for friends and family as well as an appreciation for wine. He loved learning and had begun classes to become a sommelier.
Jesse had many close connections with friends and family because he was a sweet, genuine and sensitive person who had a contagious laugh and was always the life of the party.
Jesse was greeted in Heaven by his father Jeffrey Morrow and stepfather John McCorvey Sr. He will be greatly missed by his mother Nancy McCorvey, daughter Hannah, sister Rebecca Hardin married to John David and their two daughters, sister Rachael Shad married to Philip and their two daughters, brother Joshua Morrow married to Jennifer and their daughter and two sons, and so many long-time friends.
A service to celebrate his life will be held Tuesday February 11th 11:00AM at Old St. Andrews, 317 A.P. Randolph Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202
Memorial contributions can be made on Jesse’s behalf to The Study of Neurodegenerative Syndromes at Mayo Clinic 4500 San Pablo Road S, Jacksonville, FL 32224.
